NBC chief Jeff Zucker has indicated that Katie Couric would be welcomed back at his network if CBS decides to remove her from the anchor desk of the CBS Evening News and frees her to pursue other endeavors. Zucker told the London Financial Times on Friday, "Katie remains one of the most talented journalists of her generation and somebody who would be an asset to whatever news division, whatever organization she worked in. So we would always welcome somebody of Katie's ability and stature, but that's not. ... in the cards any time in the near future." See Also
